Missions an Act of Love

Missions an Act of Love

“And Jesus answered him, the first of all the commandments is Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like namely this, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. There are no greater commandments than these.”

Mark 12: 29-31

Jesus said loving others as ourselves and as we love Him are the two most important things we could do to honor his laws. We are to reach out in love to those around us; we are to use our heart, emotions, beliefs and strength to achieve and demonstrate our Love to Him. Missions is the vehicle God has given the church to do just that!

Here at Mountain Creek Church Missions we provide such Wholehearted devotion to the Lord first by sending those to preach the Gospel to the nations. Our missionaries daily demonstrate such love by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost. Our Ambassadors of the Kingdom are in India, Brazil, Peru, China, Croatia, Pakistan, Ireland, Central America and Israel to name a few. The best gift we can bring is through providing the Word of God to the nations in their own languages. We achieve this through our various Bible Translation ministries like Evangel Bible Translators and Wycliffe International ministries. Yes, the Word being preached is our purest expression of love; but taking care of the people’s physical needs are just as important.

Loving our neighbors includes feeding the orphans, clothing the unclothed, bringing healing to the addicted and setting the captives free. Peniel Ministries in India, Rapha Missions in Pakistan and Evangel Bible Translators in Rwanda are all directly involved in orphanages and the well-being of the fatherless. Gods’ Hands Extended here in Cedar Hill, Texas provides clothing, food and daily necessities to the needy. Ministries like Care Center and Straight Street house and encourage those who have been addicted while Freedom Ministries liberate the prisoners and captive.

Here at Mountain Creek Church our scope of Missions is truly about the Love of God! We honor our Lord by obeying His commandments to Love Him Wholeheartedly, and to Love our neighbors as ourselves. You can always join us in this endeavor by supporting our missions’ outreach by giving to “prayermountain.us/donations”. Simply designate Missions or the ministry of your heart. By partnering with us our Love of God can extend further to those in need.

Blessings and Peace,
Mountain Creek Missions
