The Wonder Of Tomorrow

The Wonder Of Tomorrow

Did you know that the original name for God’s people, Ibri, (Hebrew) comes from the verb which means “to cross over, to go beyond”?

When you follow the Lord, you will discover as Abraham did, that God is ever moving His people onward into their destinies. People who have become renowned in God’s Kingdom were ordinary people like you and me. They were simply faithful followers who refused to turn back. They kept forging ahead. They were faithful.

It is time for us to rise to the challenge. The Lord encourages us onward. He urges us, “only be strong and very courageous…do not turn to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.’ Joshua 1:7

Wherever you go? Where am I going, you may ask. The answer is—wherever God leads you. Certainly you can discuss your future, but you must depend on the Holy Spirit’s continual work to guide you onward. God is faithful to His Word. His promises never fail. They will be tested. But they will not fail you.

It is in changing circumstances, often unexpected, that we need the courage to faithfully carry on. The Lord has promised, “I will not leave you nor forsake you.’ (Joshua 1:5, Hebrews 13:5) We must continue to complete the work He has set before us. In an orderly way. Doing all things well, as to the Lord.

Then we must prepare to follow Him closely in the new things He has prepared for us who love Him. There are exciting days ahead! Look forward with anticipation to all the good days to come.

And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you…you have not passed this way before.” Joshua 3:4,5
