staff_1_robert_01For 26 years, Pastors Robert and JoAn have opened Prayer Mountain as a regional gathering place for prayer in the Southwest Dallas metroplex area. Widely being considered as “A Pastor’s Pastor,” Robert has a heart to see leaders united together to fulfill God’s agenda for Dallas. They currently oversee the work of Mountain Creek Church, located on Prayer Mountain.

Staff2_Paul_BritThe Nelsons are full-time intercessory missionaries to the World Prayer Center on Prayer Mountain. They also serve Mountain Creek Church as youth and young adult ministers. Paul and Britainie have contended for revival in this generation for over a decade through weekly regional prayer gatherings. Both are graduates of Tyler Junior College and Dallas Baptist University, where they started thriving prayer ministries on both campuses. They have a passion to labor towards the explosion of prayer and missions in America and the nations. The Nelsons have three boys, Judah Paul, John Ephraim, and Levi.

Carey and Paula are both graduates of Christ for the Nations. Carey has worked in the marketplace for thirty years and currently is on full time staff as the Facilities Manager, College/Career Director and Missions Director. Paula recently resigned from CFNI after twenty years of service. Carey has a passion for missions, young adults, and discipleship. As Missions Director, Carey directs regular outreaches and has oversight for missionary families in 18 countries abroad. As College director for over 14 years he has emphasized Discipleship and Spirit led servant living by facilitating two monthly “Fire on the Mountain” services. Carey and Paula have been married for thirty one years and have two children, Andrew and Anastasia; and two grand-children Emma and Christian.

Tim Cheuvront is essential to Prayer Mountain by using a multitude of skills around the ministry not limited to media, sound, and a talented teacher of music. With a background in gospel music recording, Tim is a visionary orchestrating instrumental music into spirit-led worship and prayer.


MTCreek.Staff.StutzmanRobert and Verna were married in 1973 and have been members of Wycliffe Bible Translators since 1983. They served in Papua New Guinea as Bible translators until 1995, when they settled in the Dallas area to work at the International Linguistics Center. Robert writes and edits Bible translation resources and Verna coordinates the SIL Dictionary and Lexicography Services unit. Shortly after returning to the US, they joined Mountain Creek Church. Robert has a degree in Accounting and assists in the Mountain Creek Church Finance office. Verna is a Licensed Professional Counselor. They have a passion for Bible Translation and Missions. Robert and Verna have two grown sons and three grandsons.

large-4-2 Elsa Navejas and her husband, Fernando, have given their married life to God’s service for nearly two decades. Through dedicated commitment to the local church expression, their responsibilities have included ushering, pastoral assistance, choir membership, accounting, and now administrative leadership. Elsa previously worked in the medical field for 20 years before feeling the Lord’s leading to serve Benny Hinn Ministries. While there she served in varying departments, and enjoyed being a back up singer and working security during certain crusades and conferences. Elsa and Fernando have been blessed with 4 children and 8 beautiful grandchildren, some of whom now also attend Mountain Creek Church. The Navajas’ open their home every 2nd Sunday of the month to host a H.O.P.E Group (Homes Open for Prayer and Encouragement).
