PROMISES, PROMISES

PROMISES, PROMISES

Don’t you love it when someone gives you a promise? Something to look forward to and anticipate. A promise is a joyful expectation.

On the other hand, don’t you hate it when someone breaks a promise? So disappointing! Like the lady who had promised to play the music at our wedding, and ditched out on us two days before the big day.

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” 2 Corinthians 1:20

Do you know you have wonderful promises available to you all the time? Perhaps you never even realized that God’s Word is filled with precious promises of blessings for your life. A promise to meet every need. For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” 2 Corinthians 1:20

I have found that the best way to make His promises reality in my life is to

(1) Find them in His Word.

(2) Believe God means what He says.

(3) Begin praying His words back to Him.

Try it. It works! Find a specific promise that applies to your immediate need. Then begin to pray according to God’s Word. After all, one of the great promises from Him is Isaiah 55:11, It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

In order to pray the promises, you have to KNOW the promises. Where is a promise about the needs of my family? My finances? My health? You can use your Bible’s concordance, or go online, or find a promise book at a good Christian bookstore.

I have proved this concept to be true in my life and my walk with the Lord. In fact, I believe in it so strongly that I wrote a book called “Living Promises, Praying God’s Word.”

The Bible, God’s holy Word is absolutely true. What He says, He will do. Read it, pray it, apply it, claim it in faith.

We can live the “exceedingly abundant” life that our Lord has promised!
