NEVER GIVE UP
“Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” Luke 18:1 NIV
Winston Churchill once told the world that Britain, fighting a World War against the Nazis, would never give up. “Never! Never! Never!” Real men are not quitters.
Even Jesus recognized that most everyone has a prayer or two which never seem to get an answer. But every prayer is heard by God and is a matter of record. The Lord does not forget.
We do not pray to a disinterested God.
“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective” wrote James (5:16). Find out the will of God. Then persist, even if the answer is delayed. God is always on time. Patience will be worked into your character. Perseverance is great exercise for building the muscles of faith.
You will get your answer–at the right time. You will emerge victorious with greater gratitude and faith. So don’t quit praying, even when the answer is delayed. Never give up. Never.
