DESPERATE TIMES, SERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

“Now therefore,” says the Lord, “turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He relents from doing harm…Blow the trumpet in Zion. Consecrate a fast. Call a sacred assembly. Joel 2:12-15

America has many adversaries who threaten to do us great harm. They plot night and day. What’s worse, we have national authorities who cannot, and will not, name this evil nor acknowledge it.

Praying people who believe in the gospel’s power cannot remain idle. We are the last line of defense to save America. We must pray. We can and must pray for revival. But we can also pray that every sinister plot to harm our communities be brought to light. Apart from divine intervention, we are finished as a safe haven, as a nation at peace.

These are not normal times. The Lord’s people must rise up in intercession for the land. Our help has always been from the Lord. We don’t need to fear. We need to trust and pray. “In God We Trust” is more than a motto. It is our trumpet call to turn to the Lord with all our hearts. He has always been faithful to hear and answer the prayers of His people. He is still in the Good News business.

Prayer: Lord, today we intercede with tears of repentance. Our leaders have been a reproach to You. Many have rejected Your Word. We sorrow over the transgressions of this people. We ask that, in judgment, You remember mercy. Reveal the plots of those who scheme to destroy us. Make known their secret plans.

As for us, Lord, we will seek Your face. We are believing for a national revival that will bring our youth to the knowledge of Jesus Christ—and into the Kingdom of God.

In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.
